Becoming a parent is an experience that stretches far out beyond caring for children. It is a commitment to mothers, family, and community. It is a commitment to ourselves and becoming resourced enough to provide and BE loving. As a mother, I have found myself surrounded by fathers. It is a parallel healing that we experience together. I have witnessed the work of men to learn and un-learn the weight and honour of fatherhood. And in our giving we support the growth of each other.

Thunderbird takes a knee in reverence to the great opportunity to support new life. He understands his role in relationship to all others in his family system. His integrity and patience gain higher purpose and meaning through being tested. With gentle strength and sacrifice he learns how much greater we are able to become through inescapable love.
